01 996 TT PCCB brake replacement?

'01 996 turbo ~59000 miles. PPI was done in October before I bought it, and the dealer said there were some minor chips on the rotor. Took it to one track day so far, and just picked it up from an independent shop for oil-change and pre-track inspection. They are now saying the rotors are chipped enough that I should not do another track day before replacing them.

So, my question is, what are my options? If I stick with the PCCB's, the cost is outrageous. I'd rather spend that money on other aspects of the car.

As it sits now, I have 19" wheels that I am looking to replace as well. Due to the quality of the roads in CO, I was going to go with 18's for the extra rubber, and more tire choices.

Thoughts?

It will be pricey even used. Get steel 997 rotors. They will last longer and work great if you track.

Brembo makes a steel replacement rotor for the PCCB that retains the caliper. It is a great way to save the PCCB for resale and not have any issues at the track. when it comes time to replace the Brembo's it is a lot cheaper than the PCCB.

Interesting, but I thought that PCCB's were only available from the 2002+ model year as an option on the TT? Was the option available for 2001 models?
