Hi Ronnie,

Yes, the 3.0 is the same regarding emmissions testing, it has always passed easily. Since it is a 3" system designed for an aggressive sound, it is louder and there is a little drone with the 3.0 - it is slight, but it's there. If you want a no drone system, I would recommend the 2.5 - it's the perfect system for exotic sound combined with ultimate comfort in the cabin. I personally love the sound and attributes of the 2.5
