Talking Stock sucks!

No offense intended for those who choose to leave their cars stock. I'm just bummed that I put the car in stock mode when I took it to the dealer... then left my chipswitch at home. So, the drive home will be much slower than usual.

Sorry, but that's not a valid reason for the drive home to be slower So it may take you a few more seconds to hit 150, but the drive home should be anything but slow in a 996 Turbo.

Good point. And, as it turns out, even in stock mode, it was a pretty fun drive!

I feel that in stock mode the power is available more progressively than in level 4 where it all hits at once past around 3500 RPM...

I had the same observation. Strangely, when I really nailed it, I still saw boost spike at 1.2 bar. It just built more progressively and I pretty much had to floor it.

Turned out to be much more fun than I expected, and I think that "stock" is somewhat of a misnomer. It's more like, "your dealer won't know you have 640 HP unless he floors it" mode.
