Harley V-Rod mods??

Picked up a V-Rod today...what a great bike. After years of riding a 916 Duck...this is a really nice alternative. They compliment each other very well.

Wondering what folks here in the know on the V-Rod suggest for mods. Got to say that my biggest issue with it is the very muffled exhaust note. I don't want it to be really loud...but stock it is very quiet.

Any suggestions on that and/or other mods?

Cheers,

There's a fair amount of aftermarket stuff which you can search- some offer pretty good performance improvements. HD makes more aggressive exhausts and a big-bore kit through their Screamin' Eagle division. Bummer you didn't know, because if you put stuff on before taking delivery, full warranty applies.

When I had my V-Rod I installed Samson turn down pipes and made custom baffles for it, I think they were ripsaw's, very clean looking and great sound
V-Rods like a certain amount of back pressure
When I first installed the pipes with no baffles the bike was a dog but with baffles the bike woke up

Good luck with the bike, they are alot of fun!
