has anyone actually weighed their GT2? What weight did you come up with? Any mods? I shaved a lot of weight with the turbo-exhaust.com exhaust and the GT3 seats.

The post about the G-Tech reminded me that i have one from a while ago that i never use so i was gonna dig it out, i just need as accurate a weight figure as possible.

Don't quote me on this but I think if you go to a good alignment shop (one capable of corner weighting) they might be able to give you specific weights at each wheel. I say don't quote me becuse I am not sure if that is a specific numerical ouput of the machine or if it simply takes percentages.
The more rudimentary approach is to look in the manual. The sport seat to GT3 seat conversion will save you exactly 40 pounds for both seats combined. I weighed them.

 

Most drag strips, at least here in the NE, have a scale which you can drive on to. My 996TT w/ full tank of fuel and me (160 lbs) weighed in at a hefty 3750 lbs.

that is an actual weight you have taken? How much gas? With or without driver? Weight of driver if with? With your modifications/accessories or before?

 

According to PORSCHE the 996 GT2 weights 3,175 lbs.
