It was a $110,000 scam
It was a $110,000 scam
The gt2 listed on e-bay was a scam, I was the winning bidder. I figured that I could'nt lose. If the deal was trully legitimate, then I would have made a great deal, if not, then I was out a little time. Surely, I would never consider sending a cashiers check and then he would, " release the car." The only way this deal would go down is if I could see, inspect, and drive the car. Then I would give him the cashiers check and I would take the car to the shipping terminal. After winning the auction, I asked the seller to call me so that we could talk rather than e-mail. He replied, "I would like to talk to you on the phone, but I doubt I will be able to answer." He stated that he is working 20 hours a day, 7 days a week. He wanted me to send the money to his address and he would release the car which was being held in storage. The bill of sale and the title would be in the glove box. It was this e-mail that conviced me that it was obviously a scam. E-bay, today, sent me a notice stating that they just revoked his priviliges and recommended my not paying for the item. They said if I already paid to, "ask the seller for you money back."
Anyway, I'm not stupid, just always looking for great deal. I was already looking at a roll bar and carbon fiber door sills for the first two mods. Oh well...

It was a silver one from Tacoma, Wa. It did have a glove box. It was item 4551264424, however, the listing is no longer there. I think that E-bay retracted it.
