Some photos that got me thinking!
You would be making a mistake if you didn't get a 355 and slap a tubi on it..
Its by far the most fun car to drive...ever..
Not to mention its the best sounding ferrari besides the enzo

355 is nice and may sound great, but it just looks dated to me. The 360 just killed the 355. It's been a winner from day one. Personally I would either wait for the next 911 or go with the TT cab. The SL is nice too but it's no Porsche.
If it were my money, I'd do the SL55. With a nice set of 19" HREs the car would be unreal, the 355 is dated albeit a very bling bling car.
TT cab is also one of the nicest convertible supercars available. I'd finish my TT cab with the parts DJ Demi has on his Carrera cab as that is one of the slickest convertibles I have ever seen. Mine would be white/black.

Darren911, RufMD, and Rockitman:
You have never heard a carburated Countach with an ANSA F1 exhaust. While the 355 is nice (no questions), it can't match the Countach sound. Not even close really. The Countach is much more visceral, louder, lower and way more roar at WOT. It sounds just plain nasty and is truly distinctive.
Now, the Ferrari F333 blows the Countach away. I still prefer the Countach to the F40 and F50 but it's closer.

Boy, the timing of this thread is perfect!
I am in the midst of the exact same consideration:
Porsche Turbo Cab
99 F355
Mercedes SL55
I recently sold an '02 TT X50, and I miss that kind of power and presence.
I've done a fair amount of research on the 355, and I would much rather have a Modena Spider, but that is a boatload of cash to come up with. However, there is something about the 355 that is very special - and to top it off, I've never owned a Ferrari.
But then again, TT is so much fun.
Choices Choices!

SL55 - perfect daily driver and business man supercar
TTcab - I will mod it like crazy (b/c I am sick in the head) and won't use it all that much like every other 996 I have owned
355 spyder- Well I have the truck in the garage niow so a hot little italian hanging out waiting for sunny days for less than both of these cars the SL55 and the TTcab? hmmmmmm.....tempting!

SL65 is the way to go if you don't mind dropping 200 large! It will sticker in the deep 170's to 180's and you know the overage will be steep. Go test drive some cars for a few months. This time of year is terrible to get a new car here b/c of potential weather. I'm sure by springtime either Bill's, Andrew's or my car will be up for sale (again) and you can go back to a Turbo (J/K). As many of us addicts know, the decision-making and shopping for a new car often rivals or exceeds the ownership. Good luck!
I think the F355 is one of the most beautiful Ferrari's ever. I would love to have a F355 spider. However, the car does have some issues, such as not a ton of interior space, expensive service (they still have to drop the engine out for the annual service) runs about $15,000.00 for annual.
I wish the 360 looked like the 355 because the 360 is a much better car but I like the looks of the 355 better!

How can you pick something like this with no miles on it? Did they reset the mileage? Do you have a link to this?
