passenger window makes clicking noise ?

Both windows operate up and down fine on my 03 996TT(although I think Porsche windows move too slow, but that's another story). However, when I rech the top of the window close OR the bottom of the window opening, a metallic click sound occurs, as if its traveled too far or something. It appears perfect, just that frustrating metallic clunk at BOTH ends, which seems weird. I could understand an "over opening extension" click or "over closing" click, if best to describe, but BOTH? This happens in either door open or door close condition.
Anyone seen or experienced this?
Is it something to do with the "auto droop" feature where window opens a bit when opening and closing the door?
HELP~

probably. either your window regulator is going bad ( common ) or possibly something having to do with the door latch mechanism ( also common, they fail, affecting the window drop upon opening/closing the door ), either one failing will make the window travel problematic.

i'm betting it's your window reg though. sometimes it can be adjusted to fix the track of its travel. they crunch and make noise when they need adjustment or replacement.. "clicking" though is new to me. my advice: get an good knowledgeable tech in these cars to open up the door panel and have a look. the solution will ( probably ) be there. GL.

I did have my passenger side window regulator replaced (under CPO) a while back. It started to make a noise like a loose metal cable rattling around inside the door.
