Full throttle -> Boost Limited?????
Full throttle -> Boost Limited?????
Hi,
My 966TT start cutting the boost to 0.7/0.8 BAR

When I drove the car for example @2500 with 0 BOOST/BAR and press the accelerator pedal to full (quickly), the Boost jump to 0.7/0.8 BAR and stop here. After some times the PSM+ABS turn on... Tonight I will read the error codes and update this post.
However If I press the accelerator pedal a little, gain some boost (0.3 or 0.5 BAR) and then full throttle, the boost goes until 1.2/1.3 without problems.
The wastgates are alsocalibrated to start open @14 PSI.

The tune is from a Portuguese tuner.
I´m ruuning this tune for more than 6 month without problem.
The last upgrade was the Intake Plenum bendable tubing.
Thanks.

It is a flexible rubber tubing wrapped around with a metal spring?
Like this:
I have had some tubing similar except it was black.
What we found out is the tubing was doubled walled & when it was bent the inside wall pinched inward blocking the air flow,hence not allowing full boost.
It took months & engine removal 5 times,boost leaks,sending turbos out to 2 different shops to check seals & everything else you can think off before discovering the problem.

What did you do to solve the problem?
It is difficult to check the tubing after install it.
Thanks

On my car we were not able to achieve max boost.
My mechanic replaced the soft tubing with hard tubing & fixed the problem.
The only way my mechanic was able to see the problem was when the tubing was off the car. He was just messing the tubing and happened to see it getting pinched toward the inside of the tubing.
Keep in mind my soft tubing was double walled,check to see if that applies to yours.
