Spraying the ICs/Harness bar

2 part question:

I found a post from 2004 about this, but it didn't have many responses. I was curious to know if anyone had tried spraying the ICs with NOS. I have a spare bottle laying around and it popped into my head last night. I know it may seem a bit "Ricer" but it's been a proven tech on imports for a long time, so I was curious to see if anyone had tried it on our stock ICs.

I'm also curious to know if anyone knows of a harness bar that attaches where the rear seats lock in at the top. I am assuming those are linked to the frame of the vehicle or at least its main structure.

Thanks all.

I haven't bought nitrous oxide in a long time, I think C02 would be much cheaper if this is something you're considering. I've read about C02, but never tried it. What are you thinking? Something like an electronic boost controller connected to the NO2 or CO2?

I probably wouldn't use an electronic boost controller. I would probably just have it manual. Perhapys use either one of the blank button spots on the dash or build a control panel. I would probably have a purge and a spray. When you hit the spray it shoots cole N2O or CO2 onto the extrerior of the cooler and rapidly cools it, and thus cools the air flowing through it. I'll have to do some more research about the design of the stock IC, but in concept it sounds the same as on any other intercooler. I'm curious to see if anyone has tried it. CO2 would most likely be cheaper. I'll have to see if there are any tests on CO2 vs N2O.

Nos is illegal on the street? Besides if you were to use nos it should be going in the motor
A small dry shot would be amaizing as well as a retune to take advantage of the gains. Meth injection is still the best most cost effective way as long as its set up perfectly.

i have always thought about teeing off of the meth line and spraying on to the intercoolers like evo and sti's do. Not sure how effective it would be, but it would be fun and free. Certainly cant hurt....

At the end of the day make sure you have a fire extingusher! I just watched my street/race car burn for 45 minutes on the side of the road after re jetting the meth. My car would drop iat's from 40C to 7C within seconds of the meth coming on in the middle of summer after heat soak. It is by far the best way to go but keep in mind if its 100% meth its flammable. After logging the 996 this week i am dying to fire that meth kit in but i would hate to see this car burn or have cylinder wall problems.
