50/50 water meth vs 100% meth....

50/50 water meth vs 100% meth....
Thinking about getting some water/meth injection for my car as we get crappy 91 octane up here in Canada.

Wha'ts your thoughts/experience with 50/50 vs 100% meth.

996tt with alpha 3076's and all the bolt ons.

100% all day. More octane. More cooling. Lower IATs. Less of a PITA since n pre mixing with Distilled water.

Ever spill meth on your hand ? It is COLD !!

I had awesome gains with 100% meth. No reason to do anything else..

Since our cars had similar mods, can you define awesome gains versus 50/50 meth/water? Did Tony need to do a special tune for you?

I think with 50/50, you might pick up 30-40whp? With 100%, I seem to recall we picked up about 70whp with a special tune.

Thanks TT,

30-40 more awhp is pretty appealing, but the car now spends most of it's time on the track and I really am nevery short of get up and go, so I think I'll stay with 50/50 and the current tune. If I could simply up to 100% meth and get the benefit I would on tracks like Watkins Glen, but I don't want to have to get a special tune.

Thanks for the intel though. What's in the garage these days?

We get nice 94 octane in Toronto

I run 100% meth in my 135i and the gains are incredible. Been eyeballing a 996TT for a while so when I jump over to that platform I will be looking to run 100% meth as well. Methyl Hydrate from Home Depot is 99.9% pure meth and is an excellent product.

dumb question here, but i never had any good results researching this question though so here it is... Is there a diference in meth? VP VS the 55 gallon drum i bought from Denision lubricants, which seems to be sold primarily to business's that make windshield wiper fluid ?

Yup! A buddy of mine has a 335 that loves meth!!!

And we get 94 out here too. Except we yield better results on shell 91 vs husky 94.
