This is why you want to restrict the amount of people driving/touching your car to as few as possible.

I will never forget New Year's 1999 when my father in law (RIP) left what then became my BMW M Coupe at the hotel's valet only for us to see how he nearly put it into the ocean when he drag raced down the parking and nearly could not brake in time before heading off to the ocean (it was a pier type parking). Party went on (thoroughly enjoyed it!) and next day when we picked up the car, one of the front calipers was frozen. I wonder why...

Never heard of the SmartyCam before

What's its main usage?
Just done a quick google search and they seem pricey
What's its benefits?

the smartycam is around $1000 or higher which isn't too bad, it literally records everything from brake/throttle percentage to a 3d acceleration map and can be made to turn on and record when the car starts, like in the video. i would like to get one for that reason alone, but there's other options out there, the traqmate looks pretty good too. so i guess the main usage for a smartycam would be at the track to fine tune your car and review your progress. benefit on the road, at minimum it just seems like extra insurance in the event of an accident... and probably trying to see how high you can get the gforce up to on turns
