front strut brace experience?

So I see a few Porsche sites (ie Vertex)selling a simple front strut bar by Schnell, of varying material (CF, Alum, etc), for fairly cheap (~$150-180). I haven't heard anyone comment on these here.

Are they gimmicky, or do they actually do something?
Curious!
Thanks in advance for your responses

On a rigid coupe like the 996, I think they are pretty worthless. On a convertible, they do reduce cowl shake though.

if you have a serious mod itch, i dont see how it could hurt. Its not expensive. I'd get one.

rhargy is infamous around these parts
I tried one from Vertex a couple of years ago and had trouble with the fitment. If my memory serves, I would have had to relocate the clutch resevoir. the good news was they marketed it as a bolt-on and no problems returning it.

I bought an alloy & carbon one off eBay (used & no name on it) & I have the same problem!
Said it was a straight fit but infact the clutch resevoir is in the way

When I get round to sorting some new suspension I'm going to see if that someone can relocate the clutch resevoir so it will fit!
It only needs moving a few inches!

Not sure if all makes are the same?
