Adrift: GREAT CAR love those pics

I have been in contact with the guys at Imagine Auto. They can give you the info on this project Anyway this is all new just now on their "mule car" with no issues so far. I will wait for 6 months(including track days)and if they have no issues, then I will look very hard at it. I am guessinag at these numbers so help me out.

Base Boxster S 250HP
Evo Intake: +10HP
Headers, cat bypass pipes, muffler +15 HP
Schrick Cams +40 HP
Ligth weight flywheel +10 HP
Super Charger with GIAC tune +115 HP (conservitive number)

Total HP 440 HP (should be fun)
This is the order that is on the books for being done.

Adrift is infamous around these parts
Okay Bart, you don't have to call me Adrift, since you know who I am. lol

Pics are being reduced, courtesy of HDS (I assume).

Driving impressions probably need to wait, as I don't even have 350 miles on it yet. Even the "break it in hard"advice seemed to favor waiting at least 400 miles.

I will say that down low in the RPM scale, it is nothing impressive. Maybe a tad better than my 01' BoxS was. But then I have already heard that the X51 motor is not as torquey down low as even the standard 3.6, but comes screaming out of the gates above 5000 RPMs. And I have heard it will continue to get stronger through the first few thousand miles. So my "how fast is it" judegement will have to wait.

On the other hand, the exhaust note is awesome, it feels totally glued to the road (as do most Boxsters), solid as a rock, and dead sexy.

re: IA's car

From what I have heard, the IA guys really know their stuff. That would be a huge breakthrough, as people have been struggling with getting significant additional HP from the 3.2 for a while now. Are there dyno numbers for all the non-SC misc parts? I haven't really heard anyone say those kinds of gains can be had from the 3.2 with a few bolt-ons.

I have heard right at 360-380HP with Intake, flywheel, exhaust and GIAC tune (I have seen the dyno sheets). I am being much more conservitive on my numbers. Like my father always said: plan for the worst hope for the best. I have also heard of guys getting 50 HP out of a set of cams. no proof on that though, but I can believe it. The cams will be coming very soon will create more TQ (make it fell more like porsche then a honda) Just trying to find the magical parts that fit together the best.
