A man with no home!

Now that I am without a Turbo, should I continue to post Ruf 3600S stuff to this forum, or to the Boxster forum?

Performance and price are more in line with a 996TT than a Boxster. But at heart it IS a sup'ed up Boxster, which ain't a bad thing in my eyes.

I have some cool shots of the car being built, engine out, etc, but they are too large to post at pcars.us. Any suggestions? I am at work and do not have access to serious photo-chop resources.

Post here. Several people on this list don't have 996tt's anyway.

DEFINITELY post your build pictures.

I think you can contribute to the TT forum no matter what kind of car you have, but the topic should be TT related.

Although I would love to hear more about the Ruf, it should be posted in the Boxster forum.

Note that Buddy G who owns a TT posted some comments on the new Boxster here and the thread was moved.

I am in the same situation. I have a 2000 Boxster S that I have and will continue to mod(headers are next). Although it is a non RUF I still feel out of place on most Boxster boards. From what I have found most the owner’s are washing their cars, while I am wrenching on it trying to squeeze out as much as I can. I am inspired to build one of the fastest 3.2 in the states through Super Charger and a set of cams (Imagine Auto). I keep myself informed here by reading up on headers and other modifications. It is already quick while I beat up on a friends Moded STI and just recently lost to a 360 by 1/2 car (60-120). Anyway my friend you have a great car enjoy it and keep me posted. Check out this link and my list of mods. http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2826

Pics emailed. Thanks!

JP, be careful with the supercharger. I know a guy that did it a few years back, and it overheated significantly at the track on a hot day. The exhaust melted his rear bumper! I haven't kept THAT close a watch on it, but I haven't heard of a good, reliable, track-worthy SC for the 3.2. For the 2.5 and 2.7 yes, but not the 3.2.

Ok then, Adrift, please post your pictures and tell us your impressions of the differences between the RUF and your old 996tt.

More than intersted to see the build pictures. As far as hanging in here is concerned, personally I don't mind seeing your impressions of your RUF.
