The Porsche maintenance schedule only calls for replacement of the differential and transmission fluid at 90k miles.

LOL!! Well, 90-100k mi is not an outrageous mileage for a normal car. For a vehicle like this, 50k would probably be more appropriate.

The car ran fine; not sure how good it was for me though . That said, I ride a bike most days; that's probably a lot worse; not much for pollen filters in helmets

Very nice! I'm in my 30s. Probably the appropriate age for a sport bike. Lots of kids in their early 20s on these bikes that sadly end up killing themselves.

is there anything i should change ?? for maintenance

please help. because i spoke to my mechanic he said my diff and transfer case oil etc is not due to 50 something k.

please help thanks do u think i need to change spark plugs???
My 03 Turbo has over twice that 45K miles, at now just over 95K miles.

What to do maintenance wise?

Whatever is due based on time or miles: spark plugs (I hate to admit but I lost track of miles and the plugs went over 60K miles and while they came out ok they definitely looked they needed replacing, even though the engine was running ok with them in and didn't seem to improve any after they were replaced don't do as I did but replace them on time or miles as Porsche says), fuel filter, cabin air filter (it can get smelly if left in service too long), and engine air filter

I like to change the coolant every 4 to 5 years.

In this same area, keep the trash out of the radiator ducts. If bad have the bumper cover removed and the areas cleaned out thoroughly then every so often have the trash blown out. When I take my cars in for servicing the techs blow the trash out to keep it from building up and requiring the time/labor (an hour) to remove the bumper cover and clean the trash out.

Oh, and I border on fanaticism in having the oil/filter service done every 5K miles.

As for tranny/diff fluids, the techs tell me that if one doesn't or can't hold out until the fluids are due IIRC at 90K miles cut that mileage number by 30% or even 50%.

I subscribe to an early fluid change philosophy, so in the case of my Turbo I had the tranny/diff fluid changed at around 45K miles. A complication was during the prelims to this service the tech spotted a tranny fluid leak and the transmission was replaced under warranty.

I had the replacement tranny fluid replaced just recently at around 90K miles.

Be sure the brake fluid/clutch fluid is flushed/bled every 2 years.

Other than that keep an eye on vital fluid levels and generally if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Sincerely,

Macster.
