To be fair, the OP started this thread to express his satisfaction with EPL. Another person chimed in that he might look at EPL for a retune, and thanked the OP for his review and feedback.

You jumped in with "do yourself a favor and check out Protomotive's tunes" - we're all welcome to our own opinions, of course, but I'm sure you might see how such a comment could be construed as antagonistic or argumentative.

In essence, it invites turning the OP's review thread into yet another "my tuner is better than your tuner" pissing contest, of which too many already exist IMHO.

Yes, I was wondering if there was some kind of history between them early in the thread but now I can see that there is. Just to reiterate, every day I am happier with my EPL tune, that's all I wanted to share.
I just can't imagine what it must feel like to get pushed back in the seat of a higher HP ( >550 or so) car because it is really hard not to speed already. Literally, on the freeway if I'm just pressing the accelerator a bit I'm north of 100. Combined with the exhaust sound it is enough to make your hair stand on end!
How do you Alpha guys keep your car out of impound?

Sorry guys.I thought I was helping by giving Steve Theodore some info when He said 'Epl was ONE of my go to considerations.'
That's why it was a quote reply..

i agree, that most of the euro tuner flashes are VERY conservative if that.

you will have great success and a MAJOR improvement if/when you switch to an EPL or protomotive tune, or softronic, all great tuners, and their track records speak for them selves.

You mean euro tuners in USA? Here in Europe all "euro" tuners are all but conservative. As I said; stock car with exhaust and filter sees 1.2 bar peak. My x50 with exhaust and filter sees 1.3.

Haven't dynoed but was always wondering what stock 1.2 bar would put out? 500bhp? And x50 530? I am talking crank.

no i mean euro tuners in europe(not all, but most) , like gemballa , ruf, and a few other names out there, dont compare to the u.s. tuners .

you hit 1.2 to 1.3 and hold it through the gear ? or do you mean it spikes ?

Are you on the stock clutch still and is it holding okay? Any idea how many miles are on that clutch? I'd hate to buy a car with an older tune (maybe not as optimized as an EPL or Proto tune) and then soon after swapping realize I need to fork over the $3k+ for a clutch.

Any flash and exhaust tune should include upgraded clutch. Stock will begin to slip very quickly.

When I first got my X-50 , stock, I went with a GIAC tune,1.2, and Cargraphics exhaust..
Made 500 rear wheel on a Dynojet.
My stock clutch held up for awhile then It would only slip at full throttle power shifts.

IMO its best to stop right around the limits of pump gas (and have a little left for race mode).

No idea. Inherited it from the owner. Apparently some Italian tuners who really know what they are doing. Car has 90k miles withnthentune zero issues.

Huh. That's a lot. I was thinking I am on 530bhp crank with cargraphics pipes and 1.2 bar on my x50 car.
