Auto Ins in So. Cal

I was hoping someone can recommend a good auto insurer or agent in So. California. I recently moved back to the states after 12 years in Europe. In April I took out a policy with Farmers.
With no recent history in the states, I was sort of at the insurer’s mercy. I have no accidents and had/have a good guy letter from my previous insurer in Europe, Axa Winterthur. This letter stated in English that I had no accidents on record and carried continuous coverage with them for 11 years.
It could be that my coverage is the norm. I am paying 1,427.20 twice a year for the full coverage of two vehicles with a $1K deductible. Cars - 2005 tts and a 2002 2wd ranger PU. My 2nd instilment is due on 10/24 and was wondering if I can do better.
Thanks in advance.

IF you have No (or no more than 1) tickets or accidents, Wawanesa is hard to beat. I have awesome coverage at 30-40 Less than competitive packages....

Fully recommended.

If you are not driving the turbo daily, look into classic car insurance. I went with Leland west, which was about a 70% savings!

you shouldn't be paying more than 2k a year for min req'd coverage. though SoCal is tough $. if you have a clean record you can definitely do better. along with others suggestions, you might try a broker like AIS who shop you a rate. welcome back.

If you ever screw around on a track, make sure you understand the coverage. Some companies exclude, some do not....

Just shy of $2K annually for two cars (04 TT and 05 Avalanche) 100/300/100 with $500 deductible - from State Farm.
