2001 996tt horn only works w/o key in

HI,

I'm a new 996tt owner and was pointed to this site by a buddy. I just got my 2001 996tt home and noticed that the horn only works when the key is not in the ignition. Just curious if anyone has seen something like this.

I have the same issue. I think it's a faulty horn relay.

Here's a nice link to a diagram with the relay bank that holds the problem I found. Good old relay #10 wasn't switching. Found it for $17 on ebay

You are probably better off going with one of the following options:
1. Take your old relay to the auto parts store and cross it to an AC/Delco part
2. Buy it here for $11
