EPL 24/20 :: 1/4 Mile Run

Headed out to Englishtown for the last test & tune night of the season,.. with that said the place was jammed packed and the night ended early with major oil spill on the track that couldn't get cleaned up in time before the track shut down.

I did get a pass in with the car. My goal was to click off 10.9 which I didn't do but it looks promising for the future. It ran 11.1 @ 134.7, if I can come out of the hole a little better (need a few runs in a row for some practice!) I think I can get it done. Time slip below and a little iPhone video too.

The car was run exactly how it runs on the street with 100 octane fuel, overall I am really happy with the trap speed and outcome. The car feels great.

mod list? im going next weekend and not sure what to expect. first time i went left pasm on launched at 3000 rpm and had a disappointing 12.4 @ 119 mph
gmg k24,75mm t/b and plenum ,gt2 i/c,headers,3" gmg w/c sport exhaust,gmg divertors and 93 giac tune, sachs sport clutch are the mods im sure of on the car.
was hoping to leave the pasm off launch it at 4000 to 5000 rpm and maybe see a 11.5? i ran 150 mph at a half mile event but no 1/4 mile split available

btw awesome run!!!

This is almost identical time of my old Porsche (11.03 @ 134.4 mph)
K24/18G's protomotive set-up with MS103 fuel and peak boost @ 1.4 bar.
Nice run, but you have more trap in that set-up !

But I do run alot on the street and I know how to launch fairly well.So if I do decent 60' ft. time when I go ,I should be in the very low elevens easily going by the jap kids I run and beat on the street..

you need a gopro !!! take to the track and see what it does or VBox. my vbox is spot on at Atco this season. last season VBox used to read .1 slower then time slip... either way close enough.

AWD, I didn't heat up anything, just went around the water box and rolled up to the line.... how do you heat up the front diff? and whats the advantage?

I know that if I can get a 1.8 60' or better I am in the 10's.

996tt awd system is a viscous coupling. when rear wheels spin faster then fronts the fluid heats up in the front diff and starts tranferring power to the front. when you are launching that doesnt happen quick enough, so out the hole you are still basically RWD. if you do a burnout/launch up to the line the fluid in the diff will be much warmer and car will transfer power to front wheels quicker helping you with the launch.
