I had my trans rebuilt and i'm getting 2nd gear pop-out as well. I'm bringing the car to Intersport and they and GBox are going to try to figure out what's up. I am optimistic that it will be resolved the right way and without costing me a fortune (in that I've already spent a fortune on it).

Both you and I hope! I didn't have it before, after rebuild I have it. Advice I was given via this board and other people suggests incorrect rebuild – easy to do even with competent rebuilder. Apparently, there are such minute tolerances (must be spot on via use of correct shims) that if the builder is unaware of the problem this can happen. I fitted detent, and all was well till now. As I said I hope it was driver error and cold gearbox but knowing my luck it is probably wishful thinking! . If it happens again, I am talking it back to the rebuilder.

FIRST STEP IS TO always ADJUST your shifter with factory tool. Just did that with mine and big difference- no more grinding into second. I also added detent and engages much better in second, Mike
