Oil Pressure gauge up the creek
Oil Pressure gauge up the creek
I got a present from Porsche yesterday. After 25,000 miles the oil pressure gauge is all over the place. I have the privilege of replacing the sender /sensor unit with the help of just a minor engine drop of 3-4 inches to be able to perform said task. My oil pressure gauge on my 1982 Yugo never went out in 360,000 miles!!! Just kidding but folks, this is really unacceptable for a 120K plus car. It would behoove Porsche to fix these seemingly innocent - but expensive - problems / issues and make their cars easier to repair and maintain before adding complexities and more gizmo's that keep on going wrong. Unbelievable!
I could have gone on vacation to Las Vegas for a week, met one of the Kardashian girls and... well, the rest could have been history!! On second thoughts, they would not fit in my passenger seat due to substantial suspension and landing gear expansions.
And I agree with you on the Porsche stuff - never had a sender unit go out in any of my other cars ever - or coolant tanks, or main seals, or clutch reservoirs/slaves, or rear wing rams........
Absolutely guaranteed that your maintenance on the Porsche is cheaper than the maintenance on those pigs.
