Third Gear Grind

I was out cruising with some friends and had this happen 3 times. Under normal acceleration, going through gears is just fine. Accelerating hard caused the shift from 2nd to 3rd. to grind. Any idea what may be causing this? 4,5, and 6 were fine. Cause to be concerned or is it just operator error?

Does this alot on my car when under full throttle shifting from 1st to 2nd, all others are fine though. It seems to get stuck in the gate and does not fully engage the gear then grinds if I don't notice and let out the clutch too early. Don't know if this is similar or not.

My eclipse is a bit crunchy on the 2-3, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Probably a worn syncro or the engagement ring is messed up.

Many tranny's have been replaced/repaired by Porsche. They did have an issue.

I had this problem from 1st-2nd sometimes. My solution was to really jam the gearshift into 2nd when shifting under hard acceleration and the problem went away. I think it was just a bad synchro.
