Look at the positive side... you're keeping miles off the car in the winter.

I feel your pain, mine has been put away since November 1st.

Any reason why you chose to put it up on jackstands?

Mostly because new rubber is going on the rims and I figure I will do it sometime later this winter.

Yep put mine away last week. It has been a fun summer, put on 1288 care free miles. The upgrades I did last winter really made it a better car than it already was.

I always do some kind of project over the winter. Maybe a transmission upgrade to GT2 gear ratios?

Does it do any harm to the suspension bits to have the car up on stands like that? Seems like gravity would be unkind to the system.

Wait... Please tell me you're kidding.

The internet doesn't translate sarcasm well. I'm having a hard time believing this at face value.

Lots of people don't drive their "toys" in the rain. The previous owner of my Turbo only drove in the rain if he got caught in it.

+1 I have never driven any of my Porsches in the rain or snow! I have a Tundra Platinum that I use for conditions like that! Have even considered getting a Subaru to daily drive year round!

I've driven my TT through the last two winters. There is no question it is capable. I did however get sick of what it does to the paint. I still will drive it on the occasional nice day in the winter, which we have plenty! In the mean time though, I got this for winter use!

I guess I'm kind of aware of this...

People who never take the plastic off their sofas, never having sex with their girlfriend, to save her for the next guy (saw that analogy here on 6speed), ... Turbo owner probably never went in to boost, out of fear of raising the temps on them.

I guess people can do what they like - it's theirs. I guess I'll never understand it. Perhaps someday I will.

Just before my cars warranty was up I had to go out to the garage and turn on the wipers , headlights just to see if they worked.

True story
