Soft top questions

My TT cab developed a leak from the side windows and as a result my car's carpeting was wet in on the passengers side both front and rear. Turns out a drain was clogged and that was fixed. However in the aftermath I started to get problems closing my top ( the movement is very slow and I had to physically close it halfway). Also both windows would not move downwards when the doors are opened. Mechanic says it is due to a computer control unit for the windows located in the floor of the car which he believes got shorted by the water.
Any body had any experience with this problem?
Thanks

Micro switch went bad I think. This causes the window not going down when closing or opening.

This may be the reason the top is not operating fully. I would try lube on the top and checking top hydrolic fluid level also.
