Clutch on Gallardo and cheese?
A few months ago I was looking at the Gallardo as a replacement for my MY2002 996TT. The discussion boards for this car were filled with talk of the clutch and how weak it was for the HP. I remember a thread where Gallardo owners were trying to figure out what type of cheese the clutch was made of. I think 'swiss' won. That was what steered me away from this model. Did they fix this? A new clutch every 3000 miles puts this car into a different category that the 996TT. I went 40k with two clutches on my last Turbo.
The SL65 and DB9 don’t belong on this list, so the Turbo finishes last. Also, the Z06 is the best bang for the buck.

I have to agree that the Vette is a winner. Chevy could not design an attractive car so they basically copied the heck out of Ferrari. Look at the wheels on the blue devil one. 430 wheels.
I walked up to one at the track recently think it was a Ferrari. it was black and I could not make out all of the intracacies, but from a distance I thought it was a Ferrari. Then I saw Corvette and I felt let down.
Even though, still wouldn't own one. Too red neck, too common, or something about them.
Bentley GTs should be in the list if they have the Aston and the Mercedes. They are not bad. I think the point is market placement. Those of us buying TTSs and 430s are not, for the most part, going to consider a Vette. I, however, have considered every car on that list in addition to the Bently GT. I cannot ever recall crusing ebay looking at new Vettes.
Four seats, fast as a Lambo and reliable as hell, what more can you ask for.

No doubt about it, the new Vette is a nice looking machine. Too bad I have to stand so far from the urinal which doesn't allow me to qualify as an owner. I also don't like wearing 20 pounds of gold chains around my neck and I am also taller than 5'6".

Okay bad example. I should have known better since Elvis is supposed to be dead. Cannot believe everything you read.
Nevertheless, its like seeing a lambo and walking up to it and seeing a Feiro interior.

Having owned and being around Porsche people for twenty years , I can assure you that MANY of their owners wear too much jewelry on their too hairy chests ( to make up for bald heads ) and shoes with lifts and fat guts.
My 5'9" wife always laughs at all the short Porsche owners who always seem to have the plastic surgerized TALL significant others who are way younger - seems to be common sighting when we visit certain tony parts of SoCal as opposed to Silicon Valley.!

the new Vette turns my head now.
