I heard price will be around $150,000, but that was from earlier reports. If it is around $100K that would be damn impressive. Also, I'm kind've surprised that it is an FI'ed Z06 engine as the compression ratio is already 11:1 (on an NA engine) & in doing a technical analysis on the engine R&T said there would be little room to bore & stroke the engine as the cylinders are already so close together they have basically sleeved the engine already. Maybe they will specially use lower compression pistons for this iteration of the car. 600hp for a 2900 lb. car is damn impressive.

I have a feeling that they will use lower compression pistons.

I agree. Those "Gold Chains" and "Chest Hair" comments don't get you too far when you just got your *** smoked.

No way it will be priced at $150K. Too much of a leap for what is essentially a mass-produced car with different bits. Most of the guys I see nowadays driving vets aren't the hairy-chested, gold chain set so that stereotype is a bit outdated like your Capezio's and Z. Cavarecci's.

If that happens, some of us will just buy a Carrera GT and still continue to make fun of Vettes.

Can't argue with that. For that kind of money you will have earned your victory.

Help me out here...why would other high-end sports car owners be nervous?

Cars, Dock, not their owners. I made sure to not include "owners" in my statement as we both see eye-to-eye in respect to the Z06 given our previous discussions.

Is it just me or is this a really dumb comment? What do you want, GM to just hand their employees money for nothing. Tons of development went into this car. Development = Jobs. What am I missing?

These threads should always be based on comparing off the showroom 100 % stock vs stock. For every 800 lb modded Turbo, there is a 1200 hp modded Viper , 750 hp modded '04 tt Zo6 with full-on coil over suspension ,old Supra,'68 Nova that's a 9 sec car on the dragstrip .....you get the point .
