GMG Podiums@ LimeRock Park Speed GT
I am pleased to report that after a tough weekend at Cleveland ( the weekend prior )( car damaged ) the team was able to rallye a podium finishing position @ Lime Rock Park in Speed GT.
It was a very long week between Cleveland and Lime Rock for us.
Having to get the car repaired from some contact and getting it to Lime Rock and then set up for the event... There was little time and no chance of us getting it back to California to repair at our shop. Thanks to Teckmark for helping us get the car sorted and ready for the next race.
The GMG Porsche Speed GT 911 Cup qualified 4th and it was a very interesting race for us at one point we fell back to 9th. James was able to gain positions on the restart putting him back in 5th , he would later pass Andy Pilgrim ( Factory Cadillac) for 4th and the Stu Hayner Pontiac GTO for 3rd into turn 1 in the closing stages of the race.....
Here are a few pics from the event......
Thanks to all the 6speeders who came out to visit and suported us this weekend....... It was nice to meet you all........
Next Race Infineon in 2 weeks............................ Hope to see you local Northern California guys out there...............!!!

Congrat's to you and James!
I recorded the race and just watched it--great driving by James! I like that inside move he kept making, and he kept the pressure on well. Also, great comeback after the spin.
Looks like a tricky track to set up for. Appears to have really high-pressure right hand turns at speed, but at the same time, it looks pretty bumpy with low amplitude bumps all over the place. How do you spring the car for that track? What rates, and how do you generally like to set the dampers there to be supple but faster on rebound? I'd bet you did a great job on setup and that allowed James to do his job better, while other drivers struggled with their setups.
Also, the car look really nice on TV!

Thanks guys...
It was an awesome race for us... Lime Rock is a very tricky track to set up for... From the results it shows we were able to get the set up down and James was able to make the car dance..
Speed GT is an awesome series to race in..... The competition is very tough and the drivers are first class... When you can stand on a podium next to guys like Max Papis, Max Angelleli.... Not to mention other factory drivers like Liddel , Henzler to name a few it makes you feel good about your efforts and the countless hours spent developing a car and making it go...
Speed GT was ranked the MOST competitive road racing series in the U.S. from the racing action you were able to see , you can understand why.......
Looking forward to Sears Point in 2 weeks and meeting some of you local California 6 Speeders.... Hope you make it out..........

It was nice to see James up there after so many years of hard work. I guess thats what happens when you ditch the bmw for a p-car . Congrats to the whole team on all their efforts. We were headed for a top TC finish ourselves, having run the 5th fastest lap of the race...unfortunately another driver tried a stupid pass on the outside into 'no-name' and punted us off the course and trashing our radiator. with the top 16 or so cars qualifing within a second of the pole, its pretty tight racing to say the least...
hopefully the car will be back together for sonoma...see ya there.
