I don't know anyone local who owns a 996 Turbo much less any Porsche. I thought it would be helpful to myself and anyone else interested to see who is out there for when we want to see some mods in person or just compare cars to see if a characteristic is normal.

So who else is here from the Austin area?

Man, Austin has a non existent scene. Head over to Houston one weekend and you'll have all you need to see. Or meet us in Sealy at Lonestar.

My motor is in Austin if that counts.

We will have Matt's 997TT up at Boost Logic next week for some upgrades but other than Justin (Tripblk6spd) who has a 700-750rwhp setup and AJ who has Bmoores car that is all that I know of who post here.

I get that impression when I go to the Austin Cars and Coffee then look at pics from the Dallas or Houston C&C. There is always a group of Porsche guys there but most don't seem like the modding types. I don't plan to do too much modding. The most extreme might be a mild turbo upgrade. But, it would be nice to know some other Turbo guys, especially ones who also work on their own cars.

I may have met Tripblk6spd. Is he the guy that had the chrome wrapped GT2?

Boost Logic does any of our fab work now that we have our own personal shop with a dyno to work on instead of the garage.

And yes Justin's car was the chrome wrapped GT2 but now is Blue with a black roof/hood/wing.

That is an awesome setup. Right now I just have my 2 car garage. I am thinking after getting this car I might have to get the MaxJax lift. It is not ideal but a real two post would turn my two car into a one car. I hope to be able to find a place with enough land in about 5 years to build a decent sized steel building to put a real two post and work on my projects.
