i did take the y-pipe/throttle body out to tighten a loose air leak i had from a distributor hose..(thats basically why everything tb came out).... by they way, I really appreciate your input on this tim941nyc... great to have to another insite..

I never disconnected that one from the start...I was maybe thinking of swapping it over to the drivers side to see if the problem moves... Not really sure where to go from there... think any kind of hall sensors/knock sensor/camshaft sensor could be failing?? it seems like a electrical problem, due to the fact it just happened after i opened that general area and also disconnecting the mass air flow sensor allows that side to at least stay running..

Does the error pop up when you go past and/or cruising @ about 3k rpm? It's the spring in the solenoid. If your shop is crafty it can be repaired without changing the actual part.
For reasons beyond my comprehension swapping the solenoids between banks had no effect on the misfires. They remained on one side.
I also made a mistake by buying a used solenoid, thinking I wouldn't be so unlucky and the part would be functional. Alas, had to find out the hard (and long) way!
