OP listen to him and convince the wife. Cayenne FTW.

Sorry, bummer to hear. Good for everyone to know though.

To add to this, while it's only been 6 or 7 months, our '12 TDI Touareg has been perfect. Only been in the shop for scheduled oil change and we have been averaging 28mpg back roads, 32+ on the hwy. Wifey is also pleased that the latest Car & Driver listed it as the #1 TDI SUV. It isn't as "nice" as the Cayenne of course, but for the cost difference, hands down the better value. I am considering a Passat TDI as my new DD...nice car and gets upwards of 45mpg on the hwy..

So after all this toiling to get all my info, my wife was hell bent on the BMW name. We realized the X5 may be bigger than our current needs so we picked out an X3. Supposed to pick it up Saturday so I can give my impressions then. Good news is being a return customer I was able to get a decent deal on a vehicle with all the trimmings.
On a different note with the savings from the X5 the 996TT is in the process of getting some nice upgrades

I know this may sound odd but I LOVE my 2013 ford Explorer sport. It has the V6 twin turbo Eco boost and hauls ***. I added the Livernois EVU upgrade for 400+HP and it's so damn fun. I've had the SUV for 7 months with zero complaints. I test drove Jeeps, X5s, range rovers, everything. This was hands down the best bang for the buck. 2 year lease, 12,000 mile limit per year and zero down for $570 per month. The sticker was $48k
