Thoughts on SPEC clutches?
One thing to keep in mind with LWFW cars as pertains to the clutch is the RS series gt3s. They came stock with a LWFW and the clutch setup was modified to compensate for that. The clutch disc has a different sprung hub than even the 996tt oem disc. Not 100% sure what all of the differences are, but based on the hub difference I would imagine it has different dampening springs.
That being said, Spec has made reliable components on most cars. I do know of one instance with the early stage3 audi S4 clutches were having issues due to the disc hub hitting the FW bolts and causing some slipping. This did get fixed and afaik they have had great results. A few things I would look into on the spec clutches is whether or not they are modifying stock discs like CM does or are they building from scratch? Most companies that build from scratch use companies like Clutchnet and stamp the CM or Spec on them. I would steer away from most aftermarket manufactured sprung discs because they are usually of generic design intended for numerous cars and often times won't clear the FW bolts. Solid discs are not as sensitive to clearance issues with the FW. Also, if you haves LWFW you should be looking into the GT3RS designed Spec clutch. If properly designed and fitted this will be sprung like the stock unit.

From what I read with the fiber tough kit I should be fine. I hope anyway. lol
Sorry to say but I hated mine so much I took it out but I didn't have the GT 2 conversion.. The clutch booster spring removed helped though.
My Spec clutch which uses a sachs relabeled pressure plate was only 725 dollars shipped on black friday. I cant justify double the price(porsche tax) for pretty much the same clutch in clutchmasters.
I believe they all use a Sachs PP and then mod it to have more clamping capacity,,thats why the leverage ratio changes on the pedal..
