My first post

Hi guys.

I want to thank the group here for helping me with the information to find, inspect and buy my 2003 996TT. Wow I love it! Black/Black with 57k stock.
Further thanks for the help in getting it in top shape including:
Days and days of paint work and detailing.
gear box and engine oil change
poly belt change
Brake fluid change
Diagnosing a bad clutch accumulator.
This last one broke my promise to keep it stock, I did a GT2 clutch conversion.
Next was a rear wiper delete.

So stock is out and mods are in!

I am researching a ECU upgrade, an exhaust, and a clutch. I really like the search feature so I don't need to ask which to get.

I'll post some images soon.

Chris

Congratulations !
Look forward to the pics. As for the Clutch goes, I would advise you to go with a good clutch and not to try and save a few bucks opting for something less. I made that mistake and don't like my clutch that much; very noisy. I think I will go with the RPS dual disk Carbon next time. Seems like a good price for a great product.

This is a picture of my 996TT, before going on the lift to take the gearbox out to change the clutch. I used the post that Talisman013 did to get it out, very helpful.

I decided on a sachs stage two clutch. I'm getting it from AWE at the same time I'm having them install the GIAC software tunning.

while i'm at it I'll be changing the plugs to the colder heat range and rebuilding the turbos, just a seal kit.

Sounds like a good combo that you will enjoy.. You just need stock heat range/plugs at that level.
