My sentiments exactly. Get you insurance company involved and file a police report with all the witness' names included.

 

I have a stock one you can have for a $ 100 if you pay for shipping. It has a very minor scuff below driver's side head light so it would probably be need to be repainted. It is basalt black now. The grills are fine, but the lower lip has scuffs. It is off a 2004 TT cabriolet.

 

so an update....

The guy gives me $850 personal check last Thursday. He happens to live in the same community, Ashburn Village, so I met him at his house. I know I shouldn't have taken personal check but I began to trust him since he had a complete change of attitude.. and I know where he lives.

So I cash it Friday, all good now and took some pics of the bumper dent today. As you can see it is very minor.. hard to see even up close. If I put a front license plate (required by VA but I've been not doing it for years haha), it will be covered.





it may not be worth it to get a new bumper.. just use that $850 for another mod? But Doug did offer me his bumper at $100 (shipping + repaint extra). We are working on something.

Doug thanks for the advice.. I didn't go the insurance route, I gave the guy a break.. maybe I'm too trusting but it did all work out.

 

I bet you could fix your for less than $ 500.00 and apply the $ 850 to another mod. A good body shop should be able to heat and fix that and then touch it up and buff it out. Maybe that route would costs as little as $ 250.

 

u got off easy.. my S2000 was violated today on a barnes & noble parking lot today while I was inside buying a porsche magazine (!).. when i came out 2 witnesses were waiting for me and said a black female in a burgundy malibu backed into my car real hard, got out to see the damage, and TOOK OFF!!! they got her plate # and all...

but get this, in Michigan (been here for 3 yrs) we have NO FAULT insurance policy, so I'm on my own to fix this car, and police won't even pursue this woman for HIT&RUN & fleeing the scene of an accident.. F##K this state man...

 

that can't be possible.. there has to be a hit and run law there, regardless if ur insurance don't cover it (which i doubt also).

Prov1 thats outrageous, you gotta be able to do somthing about that.

First off, make a police report regardless of what the officer tells you (I had a cop tell me that they couldnt do anything on another subject but turned out to be BS). Then go from there, have you asked your insurence about it yet?
