For what? Track mainly? Track and street? I mean, if you are going to use it with the track 90% of the time, go with the 10/14 (call them up and see if they still offer the 12/16 setup). If you only do 50% track, get the 8/12 setup. I have 19" wheels and won't track it that much, so the 7/10kg setup seemed like a perfect fit for me.

It wasn't until recently that JIC offered the 7/10 and 8/12 setup. You might hear some complaints about the ride being harsh, but they were running the older setup of 10/14 or even 12/16 ( 675lb/900lb). For the track, 10/14 or 12/16 is great, but on the streets it will beat you to death.

Originally, I had the 8/12kg spring rate. However, before I put them on, I called JIC and made the decision to have them switched out to the 7/10kg setup. The good thing about JIC (that you cannot do with the PSS9s) is the ability to adjust the ride height without messing with the spring setting or riding on the bump stops (like in the PSS9). The ride height is adjustable separate from the spring perch giving you maximum suspension travel at any setting.

I had the middle rate springs installed:

7kg/10kg or 392lbs/560lbs
8kg/12kg or 448lbs/672lbs
10kg/14kg or 560lbs/784lbs

The mid springs are absolutely fine for the street. In fact they are substantially better riding than the Porsche ROW springs I had on prior. Unless you are a boulevard princess, I would at least get the medium springs.

Thx everyone for the advice. Ruiner thx for your reply and your patience. Went shopping with the old man and he bought a set of Advan A048R compound tires and also JIC coil overs with the 8/12 set up. Actually when we phone JIC the 10/14 set up isn't available anymore (that’s what I heard from the shop when they called JIC USA). Instead they offer the 12/16 setup which I heard was ridiculously stiff.

Anyways the coil overs should arrive within a 6 business days. Hope this is a good purchase.

I started out with 12/16. Now, I'm currently running 9/12 and they were simply awesome for the track. 7/10 are fine if you don't track much... they may risk burning out the damper due to being under-sprung for track usage. I always had great customer service from Ben at JIC.

Any way to read the spring rates off of the springs themselves?

Ben has really stepped up his customer service. Once I get mine back (I am getting the recent improvements in the design retro-fitted) I will not hesitate to recommend JIC to more 6speeders.

With the 19" wheels and the Atlanta streets, I think that the 7/10kg setup will be perfect for me.

YOU BOULEVARD PRINCESS!

Just kidding! With 19s, that's probably a pretty good idea. How long has the car been down with the suspension in for the upgrade? I still have to determine if I'm needing the same.

The 19s are my biggest concern. Couple that with the fact that I really love to drive my car. It is an '01 with 30k on it already. It is not a garage queen by any means. Give the stock spring rates (high 100s for the front and low-mid 200s for the rear in lbs - if I remember correctly). The 7/10kgs will easily be 2x as stiff as the current suspension setup.

Here is the setup for the regular C2 (I couldn't find the link for the turbo rates, someone posted them before):
http://www.pca.org/panorama/sample_article_3.html

It hasn't been down at all, actually. I made an appointment to have them put on and that day, I called JIC just to confirm a few things before I actually had them installed. After my talk with Ben, I cancelled my appointment and shipped the set back to JIC (still untouched). They are reducing the spring rate from an 8/12kg rate to 7/10kg rate plus added some upgraded link hardware. It won't take but a business day to put them on and corner balance (from what I understand). The shop that is doing the work also works on the Racer's Group GT3 for Road Atlanta. It will be in good, expensive () hands.

That is good to know. I looked and couldn't find the info, but didn't look that hard. I will be sure to check when they come back from JIC.

I went with the JIC by Stephens recommendation at Imagine Auto. I also went with the JIC because I found several complaints on line that the PSS9's have some popping noise issues with the front springs? I guess it happens at low speeds. Not sure if anyone here has had the problem or not.
Anyhow, I was told my car was going to ride harsh and it doesnt. It is firm but not harsh. The handling is awesome.

Just as a FYI, you will have to unseat the springs to read the spring rates... they are printed litterally at one end of the spring itself... white-reversed lettering... it'll say 12K, 14K, 16K, 9K, etc. I think you can compress the helper-springs to get at them.

Do you run 18s or 19s on your car? I run 19" HREs, so the 8/12 (middle) might be too much for me.
