I would pretty much agree with the comparison above.

The M3 is a modern and much more practical car and the interior is way nicer than the TT. What I didn't like is that it feels big and wasn't nearly as fast as I thought it would be; not that much different from my 300hp Z.

I do prefer the clutch on the M3 though; the one of the TT does not offer good feedback but apparently that is because of the spring; I need to do more research on that.

I've placed tons of orders for my BMW's in the past but the E90+ section of your catalog seems to be missing models newer than 2006.

I dunno - The 996TT just looks so much better, not even close...sexier, cleaner, built for purpose than the M3.
I know the M3 is excellent - but it still has that sedan look, and some of the body panels don't fit perfectly / look plasticky.
However, when my buddy and I drive - he gets TONS more looks, stares and attention...however (as he admits) 95% of those gawkers are men.

Great input! I'll agree with most of the M3 reviews except for that I get waaaaay more looks and compliments on the 996 than the M3. It's pretty funny when I take it out in snowstorms too, haha.

I never tracked my M3 and I feel like it's a little unfair to compare a 2012 M3 against a 2001 996. Both amazing cars to me. 996 is definitely a more raw sports car and M3 is aimed more at practicality.

silverbullet996TT is infamous around these parts
Great feedback on the M3 vs TT as I'm considering selling the x50 for a M3 sedan...hmm...maybe not?
