Hi mark,

I live 300kms away from Estoril.
But i can easely phone or trade e-mails with you client.
What kind of upgrades he has in his car?
I´ve hear about a guy near Estoril who is building a powermonster (for Portuguese standars) and he owns a white 996 turbo. Maybe is the same guy.

By the way, can anyone tell me what are the gains with the epl and x-cellerator tunning?

Thanks,

Adelino

Hi again!

I haven´t received enought opinios about the exhaust.

I have some options on the table:

Vivid racing - titanium

Agency power

X-cellerator 2.5''

milltek

All of these are in the same price range... but what to choose?

Any opinions?

The titanium seems a bit more exotic than the rest... but will it bee to loud inside the cabin?

x-cellerator has some ugly tips... so, unless i have some great feedback form forum users... it will be of the race.

milltek..??? i don´t reaaly know!

Please guys!! throw some opinions please!

"x-cellerator has some ugly tips... so, unless i have some great feedback form forum users... it will be of the race."

Speedtech has a couple of tip options available such as stock x50 tips, their own dual tips and now they are currently finishing up on their own Slant tips that I am waiting for!!

Just give them a call and from my own experience you will experience un-matched customer service...and that is coming from someone that has not purchased anything directly from them. They spend ALOT of time helping me answer questions when I was deciding what USED exhaust to purchase. Customer service, top notch quality product, uncompromising performance and from review after review with the 2.5 X NO DRONE! If you want more aggresive (from the sounds of your post maybe not) you will not regret the 3" that I have!

There many good exhausts out there, but the above comes highly recommended. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks

I have the AWE Tuning 2.5" exhaust, which is probably a fairly close comparison to the Speedtech 2.5" Quiet. Both are X-over designs.

John from Speedtech has said that the 3" makes more midrange horsepower for about 2k rpm than the 2.5", but peak horsepower was the same. He runs the 2.5" on his car.

I already have a car that has a 4" exhaust and sounds aggressive all the time. I wanted my 996 to have more hp, a deeper sound, but still be civilized enough to match the rest of the car. I am extremely glad I went with the 2.5". It sounds mean when I stab the throttle, and then is subdued when cruising. No drone.

Unless you have plans to make more than 700hp someday, I'd go with a 2.5"

Hi Adelino,

It would be a shame for you not to consider Supersprint! We make Inconel headers for the 996 Turbo

Check out the options:

http://www.supersprint.com/en/prod-2...__420_hp_.aspx

58 years of experience. Sound is fantastic and power gains are significant.
All parts made and developed in Italy so wouldn't have to travel too far

PS buy the best first time round not like i did!!!!!!!!
NO OFFENCE 2 OTHER TUNERS!!!!
