Black leather stains on my GG interior seats (from black belt)
Black leather stains on my GG interior seats (from black belt)
I just noticed on my tan interior of the Acura that my black leather belt left some stains on the tan leather. Lexol is not removing it at all!
Then I went to check the 911, and sure enough, it's on there too!
Crappy belt! Anyway, is there a good method for removal? Or should I get a pro to do it? Or is there nothing I can do at all?
It's not terribly noticable on either car, but it's something that I definitely see now, and it is one of those things that just irritates me.
Any advice is appreciated.

I posted similar problems years ago with my '99 beige interior and brown woven belt.
Actually watched the dealer service manager use paint thinner to take it off.
Retreated with Lexol cleaner and conditioner.
Ordered Exclusive Porsche savanna beige woven belt, custom made from same leather. Problem solved. Belt was $2950. Piece of cake.

Just kidding on the belt, but the lacquer thinner took most of it away.
Don't use much, and don't use it often. Test a small spot first.

Lexol will not take it off. Lexol has NO CHANCE of getting it off. No matter how much elbow grease.
I called the great guys at carcareonline who are always helpful on the phone.
They suggested using P21S total body wash. (You can get from there or the board sponser ProperAutocare.com).
It's a citrus based cleaner. He said test on unseen spot first. Then use a soft brush and don't rub too hard, but it should take it off.
I've also heard that rubbing alcohol may work which is similar to what Eric saw above.
They said then to condition the HECK out of it after.
Thanks for the replies gang. I'm going to try it on the Acura first.
Porsche 2nd if I don't ruin the seats on the Acura. hehe
