Lighter wiring to unswitched anyone have process?

2002 turbo, just purchased the 3300 CTEK battery tender and adapter for the lighter. Found out that my lighter is switched and the battery will not charge off the lighter unless I leave the car in the switched on position which I don't think is correct.

Does anyone have the correct process and or photos on how to wire the lighter to unswitched so power is always on?

I found the phone plug under the cd stack and can wire into this if I need to. Just need the correct process.

Thanks

not sure about "lighter is switched"? but it is just a plug in deal. the light on the charger should be yellow after you plug it in to the lighter receptacle and the battery indicator reads yellow until charged,.. then green. all the cd stack/phone plug stuff is more than you should have to deal with, and beyond me. in fact i've probably misunderstood the query.

For some reason my lighter is switched. I figured out how to bypass the lighter and run a new wire from the phone plug to make an always on connection to run the charger from the lighter.
