I think I may have blown my second MAF in three weeks. The car ran 12k miles with the stock intake and never a problem. Installed the EVO Intake and... I'm not ready to say that the change of intakes is the problem. EVO makes great products. I just can't replace MAF's every weekend!
There is something odd about this occurrence. The standard events happened. Got on the throttle hard, car burped, ABS and PSM lights went off. The difference is that the card still shows 1.2 bar when I get on it and I'm not sure if I can feel any difference. I need to drive it some more but I ran out of time today.
I will pull the codes later today. I afraid that if it is another blown MAF the EVO intake will have to go. Watch for the fire sale in the FS section.

Could very well be the oil on the filter. I went through 3 MAF's in a year. Dealer finally pulled my K&N unit & replaced it with an OEM filter.

Well it's definitely the MAF. Yesterday the car was consistently making 1.2 BAR. Today .8 max!
Same code as before:
P0102 MOD$11 1/1
MAF or VAF
Circuit Low Input
I pulled the EVO box and re-installed the OEM one. Since the car is still under warranty I'll try to get the dealer to replace the MAF without spending another $400. I plan to leave the OEM unit on for a few miles to see if the intake is what is causing the problem. I'll let you know after I put a few miles on the the OEM unit.

I understand why you changed back to stock (to save the cost of the MAF), but I don't understand how it could be the intake? Maybe someone could explain the physics. Now the filter (and the amount of oil on it) is questionable.
