how funny, you know this sh*t! clive was at columbia ( and so were we )..until 67..this was paul rothchild. produced the doors and janis etc etc. his 911S plate was "padusa".. which is "producer" with a brooklyn accent. porsche's weren't the only things i got hooked on under his tutelage either so we both have a chequered past and we've survived. i'm just glad it's "your" thread or i'd be apologizing for the impertinence..

The only reason I know any of this is by virtue of doing business with

the fellow in Virginia Beach. Funny story....he turned out to be a con man

He was an interesting guy with a lot of cool stories nonetheless

Yep, don't wanna wax too politically philosophical here but it's true,

the country has changed dramatically over the past 20 years.

And as they say, " You didn't live in the 60s if you can remember them."

Thanks John!

I've been in the program for over 20 years now. There are a lot of us

running around now. Unfortunately not everyone makes it.

lol my story these days include taking our French bulldog to the park,

feigning enthusiasm for my 15 yr old sons latest computer gadget and

data logging my Porsche. I'm Mr. excitement and intrigue is my middle

i always use Dynojet and save all run files. i just did a quick glance at spool up RPMS 3k 3.5k and 4k and it looked very very close. i PMd you my email and i can overlay tonight.

And I've heard the same thing from several guys with the 3076s.

Very quick spool for such a big turbo. I'd like to see that overlay too.

I can get the raw dyno file if you have software to overlay. It's a WinPep7

dynojet file. Don't know what dyno you used or how or if we can overlay?

Seems like this sort of comparison has real value for the guys who are

contemplating and it's a lot of fun for us who are doing it

Thanks, OP.

Made up my mind on the future turbo setup, glad to see the comparison. I was on the fence going from a K24/18g to a K16/16g billet versu an A28.

Quite an informative AND entertaining thread!

I'll probably be ordering some in the next few weeks.

Summer will be here in AZ by the time it's ready, it's like everyone elses winter. I don't want to drive in 115 degree weather, car will sit around until september/october with the occasional night drive.

I still need IC's, Inlets, Injectors and a retune 10k+ no matter how I go about it.

I was thinking about you when I posted this thread. Glad to see you chiming

in and glad it helped

You know, a good ole fashion 50/50 meth setup might just be what the

Dr. ordered .......with you out there in the desert and all.

I basically lived in Nevada for a span of about 5 years, up till last year,

and I drove my SL Mercedes cross country to Vegas for the Summer of

2010. Between the 91 craptane and 110 degree weather, even my na

Mercedes drove poorly! My biz Partner lives in Vegas and he has a

Panamera turbo. It's insanely fast for a 4 door but I haven't driven

another one outside that climate, so no frame of reference. I'd bet

it's a beast in 45 degrees and 93 oct.

sent you one back. I'll have the raw file tomorrow.

Markski and others have said the same thing.

I would love to see a pbox graph of 130 - 180 mph

on the 3076s!

I've got a couple 60-150s and 60-180s. ( performed on a closed circuit

with emergency personnel and trauma helicopters at the ready)

I was granny shifting ( because i'm a big sissy and don't wanna risk

a tranny incident ) and got 9.8s 60-150 and 17.2s 60-180.

"tranny incident" ha ha just got that.

I'm sure I could knock a full second off that with quicker shifts.

The 3076s oughta annihilate the 28s in that range.

lol If I'd been Robert Johnson, part of the deal would have been

a healthy set of teeth.

uh ..yes... turbocharged Porsche cars.

Looks like the setup you got is a favorite amongst the track crowd.

and I see you are sportin the gt2 intercoolers. If you aren't experiencing

heat soak, no harm no foul....but if you are then a larger bar / plate

setup. I know you understand the weaknesses in the fin design. But if it

aint broke, don't fix it. The 16 hybrids create a LOT of heat. The 28s, not

so much. Your 24 hot side helps avert heat soak.....yes?
