turning Turbo rotors
turning Turbo rotors
Was wondering if stock non ceramic rotors can be turned since they are cross-drilled. For the past month my steering wheel shakes a little at high speeds when trying to slow down. I am always very careful about letting them cool down completely before washing my car. Also this problem seems to be more apparent after putting on my 19" Champion RG5's. The tires are brand new Michelin PS2 in 235/ 315 sizes. Any help is appreciated.
Forgot to mention also that I feel like when I am slowing down very slowly to a stop sign, that the brakes feel like there is some kind of modulation/pulsating feeling. Kinda weird...so it makes me feel like they are kinda warped. It feels like they are grabbing at one part of the rotation, then not...then grabbing again. Thanks again for any insight.

Do not turn them. They have to be on a lathe. The issue is the cutting tips on a brake surface machine will cause the knives to vibrate and make the situation worse, not better. They are not that expensive and should simply be replaced. They are 190 each new.
