Well, I finally did it. So long, 997 C2, hello 996TT.

The silver or gray on black 996TT has always been my favorite Porsche. I don't like the headlamps on the the nb 996s, but they just work on the TT. I test drove a 997TT but - entirely subjective - I actually think the 996 is better looking inside and out, especially once you upgrade the stereo to a nice touchscreen unit.
Didn't think I would buy something sight unseen but this example just looked perfect and, well, I decided, what the hell, why fight it?

I know, one look at those power kits and I'm so screwed. Don't tell my wife!

I lasted 2 weeks, just sent Sharkwerks an email
Wheels appear to be Champion Motorsports RG5s. Nice forged wheels, I have the same set on my car (painted spokes black). Great wheels and super light! Nice score on the car. $5000-6000 for the set, wheels & tires
(depending on tires and where you buy etc)

The lip has already been replaced. They did that, a full 60K service, new tires (Hankook V12s - I'd go Michelin on my own, but for free...), and a bunch of other work on it too since they did the photos. It should be in as new condition when it shows up...
And, yup, those are Champion RG5s. All in all, they saved me about $10K over buying one that needed work and good wheels. Another reason this was such an easy decision to make.
