The labor times that people come up with to do stuff on the forums is just so ridiculous.

I'm glad someone started this thread. When i put on my Alpha 28s a couple months ago I didn't change the plugs because they only had about 6K miles on them.
Now I am getting the exact same symptoms you described (OP). During WOT pulls I am getting a slight misfire, and during warm up/idle it is more unsteady than usual. I'm using my 100octane file and only kissing 1.4 bar at most. I guess it's time to do another logging run and some fun maintenance.

Really? Sorry for tryiing to help. Congrats on paying someone $800 for a 2 hour job. Obviously you guys have never worked on your cars. I changed my plugs every 4000 miles of a 3 year ownership. It's some screws and a couple hose clamps to get there. Sorry you think I'm full of sh*t. I"m not made of money and do my own work.

Exactly..thanks Mark...I was just trying to help inform people that it can be done.....save people a couple bucks. Good luck to all on this horribly difficult job...that takes soooo much time...

I think JohnD posted years ago that it only takes an hour or so to do it too...

Well, not to start another keyboard fist fight, but when you run much higher than stock boost, you tend to wear plugs out sooner. Rather than wait until you are misfiring, at an inopportune time. I just take the initiative to change mine, as it isn't a tough job, and NGK plugs are cheap. Just my .02...been doin this a long time...

12-15k. Lol. I think I get maybe 300 (three hundred) miles out of a set of plugs if I'm on straight C16.
