Hey Sharky,

Great pic of the smoked on the TT where we could the tailights (camera pulled back from the car). I hate to be a pain but do you have a pic of the clear third brakelight backed up enough to see the tailights as well? I definitely want to buy one from you for my black 996 but I don't know if I should go with clear or smoked and I want to see the contrast /match with the tailights. (hope this makes sense)

Thanks,
K
Hey K not being a pain at all... I will get one like that too tonight. I would go with smoked tho on your car.. I'm doing the same on my black car.

KC, I installed the silver one on my black TT and I would highly recommend you go with the smoked!

Sharky, Perhaps I got a bad light from Gert? Mine did not fit perfectly as you describe. In fact, in your picture it looks like the rubber gasket is not seated properly all the across the insert area? Could you please post the dimensions (width) of the third light measured over the rubber gasket? If it is the same as the stock I will try again...smoked of course. TIA!
Hi there.. I actually inspected it thoroughly and the fit was perfect (ask Rich) so it could be the compression of the original 2.5MB jpeg killing the accuracy there. I'll get some dimensions tomorrow when I get back in (if I have any left lol!).

When the brakes are applied is the light red or clear or what? I see the lense is smoked but what does the light look like when the brakes are applied?

The LEDs are red...you will see red when the brake light is applied.

This link shows a pic of the light on.

Heya guys, James and I just tested out the batch we have and since it has LEDs "polarity" is key and it seems as though you need to change the pins around on the connector. Since this isn't for everyone, I wanted to bring that up and so for this first batch I'm going to only put them on cars locally. I'm figuring out the next batch right now and I'll make sure that the polarity works with them...

OK guys so I've now confirmed fitments are PERFECT on a 996, a 996 TT and a 996 GT2 today... I do not have any 'aftermarket' GT2 wings to try it on though... Not yet

It looked way cool on this black GT2 today...

PS We still are seeing an issue where sometimes the polarity needs to be reversed. I think I'll start sending them out on Tuesday to those of you that are comfortable doing that to the wiring harness (not all of them need it and it depends on your wiring harness).
