I may do a writeup on the gauge LED change when I do it. Theres not really any good information online about it.

Those are from the HVAC, not guages. I got an extra HVAC control when I bought my car. Just took it apart for the sake of hopefully someone doing a write up on how to make them blue, or red, or white, or any color i want. I have an 01 so my gauges are not soldered LED's, but I would love to do LED's there too.
Any Idea what spec LED's these are? Voltages or anything?

I have no idea, but sportscarleds.com sells a kit I was thinking of getting. I'll ask around to my friends in the medical repair department to see if they can give me any insight.

I just emailed them asking if they could provide me with LED's for my swap. I also asked if they knew the specs in the case that they didn't have the correct ones to sell me.

Ok, I have all the correct LED's ordered. I'll make a writeup as soon as they arrive, and I can get started on the project.

I'm kind of a minimalist, and my interior has all white accents. My center console is white, and my rollbar is white.

So I got white :P

sdiamond911 is infamous around these parts
I used superbrightleds.com for the 996 dash, doors, overhead console center light all in blue. Car is black on black and the blue gives enough light to read all the gauges and not blinding at night if you open the door. In the upper center I just did the center festoon bulb and left the two side reading lights white in case you actually ever need light! Super easy to replace them all. A little fiddly to get the upper console thing on the dash off. Don't fret, If I can do it...... Changed the side marker lights to white and added DRL's in the front grill. This was the C2, for the Turbo I also dislike the orange but not sure if I'll go color since interior is saddle and metallic gray outside. Maybe just clean white. Orange reminds me of 'warning lights' :-(

Am I reading this correctly, 2001 does not require soldering ? Surely it's not just as simple as unplugging orange bulbs and plugging in white bulbs ?

looking @ the sportscarleds kit. did it work on your Turbo, their website looks like they only cover 996.1 non turbos.
