For some reason I thought the dog bones were required for getting lowered cars back in alignment. Just going by what I have read on the forum.

Nope. Not unless you want super benign camber, less than -1 or so. The camber eccentrics have plenty of adjustment unless you're low rider low. The toe eccentrics are the problem when lowered. You need rear adjustable toe arms to get your toe in spec when you lower the rear. That is why a lot of people that lower their cars complain of eating the inside of the tires and blame it on camber when it's actually too much toe eating the tires. If your trashing the inner 1" or so of the tire, toe is your issue.

thx for that clarification. my rears wear at an "almost" "normal" rate now with them.. it seems.

( on another note. my car would like to be like yours.. i'm about 1/2 way there that is..until i saw that sunroof delete! cheers. )

Thanks. Like I said, your mileage may vary. Obviously when you had your dog bones installed you had to have your car realigned. Your better tire wear may also be the result of a better alignment on the car.

yes..i'm a couple/few alignments in at least on this car and that'll make a world of difference. my ( still/always ) learning curve was mostly on my 1st dead, but not forgotten tt. as you know there's nothing like having a set of ps2s wear at 5-6k miles from just ( ahem ) *normal* street driving to compel one to figure this whole thing out! thx again.

Ahh, tires! Lol. Don't get me started. I've gone through $11k in tires the last year and a half... and I've only put 4k miles on the car. Gotta love these cars....

Tracking is like a crack habit. Be careful or you'll get hooked. Lol! It's very easy to make a car fast in a straight line but a lot more difficult to make one quick around a circuit where all elements come into play, driver, suspension, brakes, power, etc..

i can only imagine..yeah, but $11k in 1.5 years on tires alone?! i'd have to get rid of my GF! hmm, lemme think.. tires or...
all kidding aside. i do hear willow springs calling me. but then i'd wan't/need coilovers and.. and... i'm afraid there'd be no end lol

i did just amaze myself again in a very swift canyon this AM though...these things are deceptively nimble once dialed in there's just a couple of things from your "build sheet" i am considering. eg that 60/40 lsd rwd conv and dumping the accumulator before it dumps again... etc. etc... ad infinitum

it never really ends.. does it lol
