New 996TT owner here- Hello!!
I just wanted to say hello. This is my first Porsche ever. I am extremely excited and I couldn't have come into the porsche world better than I have with the help of 2 fellow enthusiasts and 6speedonline members that gave amazing guidance.

The car is an EPL 800 and has been maintained amazingly.


I am so humbled by the whole experience so far and truly look forward to asking as many questions as possible because I am as green as they come when it comes to Porsches.


Just wanted to say hello.......thanks fellas.

Thanks!! I totally understand about the bickering, I am on several other car forums and it is just common place but it is sometimes fun to speak passionately about your love for cars.

I was at the local Captree Meet 2 weeks ago taking photos and there were some EVOM 996's and 997's there.

The car I am getting has a little over 600whp, is that considered wicked fast or just quick?

600whp on a 996/997 is about as much as you can use on the street, anything over that and you start dealing with huge turbos that are less responsive and with more lag. Unless you're planning on running a mile event or an invitational, there will be few cars that can actually hang with you around town, especially with the AWD of our cars.
