CEL came on but then went off again?

Driving my '01 996 TT (with 25k on the clock) the other day in traffic and pulling away from some lights, I notice the CEL came on with the 'drive to workshop' advice on the dash. It wasn't flashing.

Driving home that night on the return leg of the trip, it was still on.

I drove it yesterday however and it's now off... I didn't think that could happen until it's been reset?

What could have caused that - am I OK to drive until I get it serviced next (due at 30K, I'll be getting new plugs)?

TIA.

The code will be stored so you can read it later. Some CELs happen when certain parameters are not met (self-checking system). If you have multiple cycles (usually on and off) without an issue, it will "clear" itself (however, it will remain in the log). Usually safe to drive unless it is flashing.

Thanks! The only problem I know of is the clutch slave/accumulator is on it's way out (OK when engine is running, very stiff when not), but it's due a service anyway. Hopefully nothing serious.

Thanks again.
