So, the 996tt I recently acquired also came with this rear wing/decklid. Thinking about letting it go because I don't honestly know if I am extroverted enough to ever run it. I honestly have no idea what it would be worth. All, I know is it is an ARP carbon fiber wing, has aluminum side mounts and is custom mounted to fit a 996 wide body. It is very clean looking, and the whole setup is pretty lightweight. Thanks much for any thoughts. Also, if you want to critique how it looks, please keep those thoughts to yourself. The previous owner is a well respected member of this board and just an all around great guy, and would hate to see any offhanded comments regarding something he took a lot of pride in. Thanks.

certainly looks well made and in no way "cheap", and i chuckled at the mention of "extroverted". it's surely not for the "timid". it might serve you well on a track though? can't speak to its monetary "value", but the intrinsic value of "downforce", is priceless

Very good point, and do believe that was his main intent with the setup. I don't know how much tracking will be in my foreseeable future so would consider letting it go, but other then that it might be worth keeping just for a little downforce!

I did alot of searching for you online and I believe it to be very similar to a 2011 Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 wing. If so I would def say worth more than $1,500+. CF anything isnt cheap.

i'd probably keep it in the hope it would ever make sense to put on my car.

..and as wealthmanager has perceptibly pointed out, it clearly does resemble that gt3rs wing, so we all agree, it isn't "thrown together", and is a thoughtful piece.

my only issue would be the side mounting bolts. i'd always be making sure i had the kryptonite lock key with me at all times

seriously though, i'd keep it.

Nice I've been thinking custom stays and non-cup wing but it's difficult to find a wing with correct wing stay dimensions. definitely well planned package. Agree with appraisal, especially if buyer's car is same color.

Does looks like a cup wing deck for WB, custom fab uprights/spacer, and a APR wing. Might help to take a photo of the underside - that'll help buyers understand whether OEM deck bits such as fan, ducting will fit and mate to airbox. Length of wing is another bit of info buyers will want to know.

If it were me, i'd keep it! Paint the wing to match the body, keep end plates in CF, and wing stays in matte black and you won't even notice it's there...

That wing looks sick. Wish I could afford to buy it off ya, but it's a bit beyond what I can justify unfortunately.

Who is the manufacturer of the decklid, Getty, Techart, etc. ?

The whole package looks great.

I might be interested in purchasing.

Thanks much for all the comments and advice. It does look absolutely incredible in person. I will probably take some more measurements and better pictures then post it for sale. If it doesn't sell, no worries at all, might just run it at some point as many have suggested. Thanks again.

I think starting price of 1500 is reasonable and see how much interest that generates.
